Because everyone forgot to submit the video homework last week, this week, you are going to re-do last week's homework. Please film a video and act out your scene(s) with memorized lines. You can move around your room or in the living room, but please be mindful of the blockings that you learned in the drama class today. Remember, as a stage actor we need to imagine what we see in our environment, even things that are not actually on the stage. For this week's homework, please memorize your lines and perform your scene with imaginary objects in that location. Location 1: Inside the witch's house Location 2: Outside of Hansel and Gretel's house (in the backyard) Please act your scene in your location and imagine seeing different things as you say your lines. Submit a video to get 200 points.

Sorry everyone, I realized I posted week 12 homework in Fried Chicken Friday by accident, that’s why a lot of students couldn’t find it. This week, please memorize the “Cue” (前一句对白) so that you know when to say your line. It is very important to know WHEN to say your line as an actor. It is called a “cue” which means it is a hint to when you say your own line. Please film a video and perform your scene with memorized lines and blocking (走位)

Please film a video and run through your scene again with memorized lines (no script allowed). This time I want you to focus on urgency, can you find moments of urgency in your scene? How do you show urgency? WHAT IS URGENCY? According to our class exercise, we discussed that urgency includes fear and anxiety because of the limitation of time.

What is Blocking (走位)? Blocking is the positions or movement you take during a scene. Please film a video and act out your scene(s) in Hansel and Gretel and walk all the blockings that you learned in drama class. You can pretend your room or the living room is the stage. In this video, you have to say your lines as well as walk the blockings that we designed in class today.
